When it comes to making your wireframes there are a lot of options.
There are lots to choose from, so here’s a list of a few:
- Mockingbird is a web-based mockup builder. It’s not completely interactive, meaning it can’t do drop downs, but it can link different pages together, so you can click through a site. It’s free.
- Balsamiq is a web-based mockup builder with a desktop app as well.
- Ninja Mocks is what I would recommend, as it’s free for non-commercial projects.
Don’t worry too much about the exact tool you use. These tools can greatly speed up the process, and also allow you to make clickable models of your interfaces by exporting linked PDFs. The most important thing is that they allow you to focus on making your user experience the best it can be. Just choose a tool you are comfortable with.
