So what is a Zine?
Here’s what Wikipedia has to say:
A zine (
/ˈziːn/zeen; an abbreviation of fanzine, or magazine) is most commonly a small circulation publication of original or appropriated texts and images. More broadly, the term encompasses any self-published work of minority interest usually reproduced via photocopier.
Since the production means are limited, it really pushes you to be creative with the design, materials, and binding means. You can also experiment with additional treatments such as stickers, spray-paint stencils, or handmade markings with tools such as highlighters, pens, or paint markers. just remember that we have to do it 50-60 times, so keep is smart and simple.
I have also collected a bunch of images here to get you started in thinking about what is possible. Enjoy!
